China's Commerce Ministry Issues 17 Measures to Accelerate AI-Powered Consumer Market Development

According to ChainCatcher, China's Commerce Ministry and seven other government agencies released an implementation plan today to advance the integration of artificial intelligence with consumer spending, proposing 17 specific measures across five areas. The initiatives span smart consumer goods—including intelligent terminals, humanoid robots, and connected home-vehicle-device ecosystems—as well as services in elderly care, tourism, and smart homes. The plan also focuses on embedding AI technology in retail, e-commerce, and logistics to enhance supply chain efficiency, with plans to establish AI-consumer experience centers and clusters.
