China's Spot Egg Prices Fall to 4.45 Yuan Per Jin on June 22, Futures Plunge in Tandem

According to Guru Club citing Guangfa Futures and Zhuochuang Consulting, on June 22, China's spot egg prices fell to 4.45 yuan per jin, down 0.08 yuan from the previous day. Egg futures prices declined sharply in lockstep with the cash market. Post-holiday demand has weakened significantly following the Dragon Boat Festival restocking rally, while monsoon rains in southern regions have dampened procurement activity. Inventory levels are accumulating rapidly across production and distribution channels and have already exceeded year-ago levels, indicating a loosening supply-demand balance in the near term.
