According to CCTV, on May 30, Meng Xiangqing, head of the Chinese delegation at the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, stated that the two countries' leaders have reached an important consensus on building a "constructive strategic stable relationship," which provides direction for future U.S.-China and military-to-military relations. Meng called on both sides to move toward each other and jointly maintain regional and global peace and stability.
