CME Data: Copper, WTI and Brent Crude See Volume and Open Interest Gains on June 16; Silver Cools

According to CME data, on June 16, precious metals and energy contracts showed mixed movements. Gold trading volume fell to 99,679 contracts while open interest rose slightly to 339,581 contracts. Silver declined in both metrics, with volume at 47,837 contracts and open interest at 107,830 contracts. Copper, however, gained momentum with volume at 86,997 contracts and open interest at 270,813 contracts.

In energy markets, WTI crude oil volume surged to 995,843 contracts and open interest reached 2,011,726 contracts. Brent crude oil trading volume hit 168,555 contracts with open interest at 251,926 contracts. Both crude benchmarks showed increased activity. Natural gas volume climbed to 440,084 contracts while open interest declined to 1,644,559 contracts.
