Concept of Standalone PV Manufacturers Will Disappear, Says Xinneng Chairman at Shanghai Conference

According to remarks by Gu Zonghe, chairman of Xinneng Group, at the 19th International Solar and Smart Energy Conference opening ceremony in Shanghai on June 2, the concept of standalone photovoltaic manufacturers will likely disappear as the manufacturing and energy attributes of the solar industry separate. Companies that successfully navigate current industry cycles will evolve into digital energy asset operators, zero-carbon solution providers, and AI energy technology service providers. Xinneng's chairman noted that future solar enterprises will shift from pure electricity manufacturers focused on kilowatt-hours to multi-service providers offering renewable energy direct supply, computing power rental, token sales, subscription services, and AI factory solutions.
