Egypt Approves Four State-Owned Firms for Privatization on Sunday, $687M Combined Capital

According to Egypt's cabinet on Sunday, the government approved four state-owned enterprises for preliminary listing as part of its privatization plan. Three are from the oil sector: the Egyptian Petroleum & Chemical Industries Engineering Company (ENPPI), Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene Company (ELAB), and Petroleum Maritime Services Company. The fourth is Mamoura Reconstruction and Tourism Development Company. The three oil firms have combined capital of $687 million, according to a separate statement from Egypt's Oil Ministry.
