According to BlockBeats, Hsiao-Wei Wang, the Ethereum Foundation's first Chinese executive director, announced her resignation on June 18. In her statement, Wang said she decided to prioritize her personal life and future direction, noting "now is the right time to step back."

Vitalik Buterin praised Wang's contributions, calling her "a steadfast contributor to the Ethereum ecosystem for a decade" and expressing hope for her next endeavors. Wang was promoted to the EF board in March 2025, becoming the first Chinese technical leader to reach board level in the foundation's history.
