According to security firm Blockaid, Ethereum MEV bot jaredfromsubway lost $7.5 million in an attack on Saturday (June 21) when an attacker exploited the bot's logic through fake tokens and fraudulent smart contracts. The attacker crafted misleading opportunities that left the bot's fund permissions exposed after granting temporary spenders access. Following the exploit, jaredfromsubway's operator offered a 50% white hat bounty (approximately $3.7 million in 2,150 ETH) for recovery within 48 hours, threatening legal action otherwise. According to PeckShield, a portion of the stolen funds was subsequently swapped and deposited into Tornado Cash.
