Explosion at Staten Island Shipyard Injures 16 People, Including 3 Seriously, on May 22

According to CCTV News, an explosion occurred at a shipyard on Staten Island, New York, on May 22, injuring 16 people, including 3 with serious injuries.

Firefighters responded to a report around 2:30 p.m. of two workers trapped in a confined space at the dock. Upon arrival, they found a fire in the basement of a building at the pier. Approximately 50 minutes later, a violent explosion occurred. As of 5:00 p.m., the fire was not fully extinguished.
