Fed Signals Rates to Stay Higher for Longer as Point Estimates Rise to 3.8%; Strategy Holdings Hit 4% of Bitcoin Supply

According to QCP Capital's June 24 market update, the Federal Reserve kept rates unchanged at 3.50%-3.75% but raised 2026 dot-plot estimates to 3.8%, strengthening the "higher for longer" policy signal. The central bank also lifted its 2026 inflation forecast to 3.6% from 2.7%, citing persistent price pressures.

In crypto markets, Strategy now holds 847,363 BTC—roughly 4% of total Bitcoin supply—at an average cost basis of $75,651. QCP noted that while Strategy's funding and accumulation mechanisms remain active, further leverage room is narrowing as spot BTC trades below its cost basis and the firm's preferred shares trade below par value.
