## Frequently asked questions

#### How does object segmentation in Google Pics address the problem of AI image “endless retries”?
Object segmentation allows users to directly select specific elements (such as clothing or animals) within an already generated AI image and separately change visual attributes or move them, without having to regenerate the entire image. This addresses the bottleneck of existing tools’ “retry the whole image,” enabling precise post-control over specific elements.

#### Which users can use Google Pics, and when will it be available?
Based on Google’s confirmed schedule, currently only “a subset of trusted testers” can use it. In summer 2026, a preview will be opened to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and Google Workspace enterprise customers. No timeline has been announced yet for when ordinary users will get access.

#### Does Google Pics currently support mobile apps?
According to Google’s confirmation, Google Pics is currently a web application. Google says that “in the future its functions will be integrated into Workspace,” but the specific timeline for mobile integration has not been announced.
