Hong Kong to Launch First Five-Year Plan Public Consultation on June 15, Focusing on AI+ and Finance+ Strategies

Hong Kong's Financial Secretary Paul Chan announced on Saturday that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government will launch its first five-year plan for public consultation on June 15, with a two-month consultation period. The plan focuses on two strategic directions: "AI+" and "Finance+". According to Chan, artificial intelligence plays a critical role in enhancing competitiveness across industries, while for financial services, it can strengthen data analysis, risk management, and customer service. The "Finance+" strategy aims to leverage Hong Kong's full-chain financing capabilities and build a more comprehensive patient capital system for frontier technology enterprises.
