According to Humanity Protocol's official statement, hackers compromised private keys stored on an employee's laptop on June 8, draining approximately $36 million in H tokens across Ethereum and BSC chains. The security breach resulted from inadequate key storage practices—production-grade signing keys were backed up to a general-purpose development machine rather than isolated hardware.

Crypto intelligence platform Santiment reported that the H token plummeted from $0.72 to $0.10 within a single 6-hour trading window, representing an 85% loss. During the same period, approximately $22.8 million in H tokens flooded onto exchanges. H token is currently trading at $0.18.
