According to Jin10, Iran's ambassador to France Mohammad Amin-Nejad stated on May 21 that Iran holds no hostility toward Gulf neighbors and seeks to restore normal relations. Amin-Nejad said that while Iran was forced to target military bases located in these countries due to attacks originating from those sites, such actions do not reflect enmity toward the nations or their people. He added that Iran hopes to "quickly and completely end military aggression" and believes long-standing misunderstandings between the parties can be rapidly resolved.
