According to the Wall Street Journal, citing regional mediators and U.S. officials, Iran's negotiating position on ending the conflict with the United States remained largely unchanged compared to previous unsuccessful rounds on May 20. Mediators noted Iran continues to insist on its core demands: ending hostilities, obtaining economic relief, war reparations, and securing a supervisory role in the Strait of Hormuz; however, significant gaps remain with the U.S. over Iran's nuclear program.

Regional sources indicated the U.S. and Israel have been preparing for a new round of strikes against Iran in the coming days, with some suggesting possible action as early as next week.
