Iran's Revolutionary Guard Issues Hormuz Strait Transit Rules, Warns Uncoordinated Passage 'Unacceptable'

According to Jin10, on June 25, Iran's Revolutionary Guard Navy issued navigation requirements for the Strait of Hormuz, stating that all transits must be coordinated with the Guard on Channel 16. Vessels violating transit instructions will face action, the Guard said. The Guard also warned that unauthorized new shipping routes through the strait are unacceptable and dangerous, emphasizing that safe passage can only occur via routes designated by Iran.
