According to Lebanese military sources, on June 6, Israeli forces conducted airstrikes on a military vehicle in the Naba'tiyeh region of southern Lebanon, killing a brigadier, a captain, and another soldier. The incident occurred days after Israel and Lebanon signed a ceasefire agreement. Israeli Defense Forces confirmed the strike, stating the area showed suspicious activity potentially linked to Hezbollah and that the target was not Lebanese military personnel.
In a separate strike the same day on the village of Saksakia, Israeli forces killed at least six civilians and wounded four others, according to Lebanese sources. Lebanese military officials stated that ongoing Israeli military operations are undermining the ceasefire and withdrawal process.
