Israel's Transport Minister Warns U.S. Military Occupying 72 Aircraft at Ben Gurion Airport; 2.4M Tickets Face Cancellation by June 16

According to Jin10, citing Israel's Transport Minister Miri Regev, on June 14, the Israeli government warned that large-scale U.S. military aircraft deployment is occupying critical civilian airport space, threatening the cancellation of over 2.4 million summer and holiday flight tickets if the issue remains unresolved by June 16. Regev stated that approximately 72 U.S. military tanker aircraft are deployed at Ben Gurion International Airport, occupying over half of its civilian parking positions, while 26 additional U.S. military aircraft occupy nearly 90 percent of Lamon Airport's space. Israel's airport authority has set June 16 as the final deadline; if U.S. aircraft remain unshifted, the authority will formally notify airlines to reduce or cancel affected flights.
