According to Bloomberg, on June 5, Jane Street plans to build data centers to address growing compute scarcity and support operational expansion. The high-frequency trading firm currently runs tens of thousands of GPUs through Dallas data center facilities and cloud services like CoreWeave, and aims to increase compute capacity 10-fold, eventually reaching hundreds of thousands of GPUs. The new facilities' capacity and location remain undetermined. The company is negotiating with multiple technology, crypto, and finance firms on the project.
