According to CNBC, Prometheus raised $12 billion on June 11, reaching a $41 billion valuation. The funding came from JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, and Bezos himself. The startup, which currently employs 150 people, will use the capital primarily for compute resources needed to develop what Bezos described as an "artificial general engineer"—tools designed to accelerate the invention and engineering process across industries.
