Long Tanker Voyages to Asia Will Delay Oil Market Recovery, Rabobank Says

According to Rabobank's energy strategists on June 17, long tanker voyages of 28 to 55 days will constrain how quickly the oil market can rebalance, even after the Strait of Hormuz reopens. Analysts Joe DeLaura and Florence Schmit noted that shipping companies rerouting tankers via Cape of Good Hope to reach Atlantic Basin markets estimate one to two months will be needed to fully restart operations after any hostile action pauses.
