According to China's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, on May 25, Long Yong, former party member and deputy mayor of Panzhihua, Sichuan province, was expelled from the Communist Party and removed from office. An investigation found Long Yong engaged in bribery, misuse of public power, violations of party discipline, and other serious misconduct. Specific violations include accepting bribes and improper gifts, interfering with market activities, nepotism in personnel appointments, and obstruction of organizational investigations. The case has been referred to the procuratorate for criminal prosecution, with seized assets to be handled accordingly.
