Netanyahu Leverages Right-Wing Media and Pro-Israel Senators to Influence Iran Deal, June 18

According to Israeli sources, on June 18, Prime Minister Netanyahu is attempting to influence the final Iran agreement by leveraging right-wing media figures and pro-Israel U.S. senators to pressure Trump.

Netanyahu has remained skeptical of Iran's intentions throughout negotiations, maintaining the country will not reach an agreement and Iran will not genuinely commit to nuclear restrictions. The Prime Minister is using media personalities such as podcast host Mark Levin to spread his position; Levin stated Wednesday the agreement "makes no sense." Netanyahu is also relying on pro-Israel U.S. senators to convince Trump. However, even Republican Senator Graham, who previously advocated for stronger measures against Iran, has shifted his stance.
