OpenAI Expands ChatGPT Ad Pilot to South Korea, Limiting to Free and Go Plans

According to Chosun Daily, OpenAI on June 19 expanded its ChatGPT ad pilot to South Korea, limiting sponsored content to Free and Go plan users while exempting Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu subscribers. OpenAI said ads will be labeled separately and advertisers will receive only aggregated metrics such as impressions and click-through rates without access to individual user conversations or personal data. Ads will not appear in discussions about sensitive topics including mental health or politics.
