According to Jin10, on May 25, 2026, People's Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng met French Central Bank Governor François Villeroy de Galhau to exchange views on global and Chinese economic conditions, China-France and China-Europe financial cooperation, and global economic governance. Pan stated that China will deepen financial opening-up and welcomes foreign financial institutions to operate in the Chinese market. He proposed strengthening strategic communication to support multilateralism and building a fairer, more inclusive global financial system. De Galhau expressed France's commitment to deepening China-France cooperation and enhancing coordination with the PBOC in global financial governance.
