According to consolidated financial filings, Strategy Inc acquired 171,238 Bitcoin during 2026, outpacing global mining production by a factor of 2.6x over the same period. The Nasdaq-listed company funded the accumulation through Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock (STRC), at-the-market offerings, and a $1.5 billion debt buyback of its 2029 Convertible Senior Notes at an 8% discount to par, which generated an internal gain of 4,391 Bitcoin. The acquisition raised Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings to 843,738 BTC, delivering a 13.3% year-to-date yield for shareholders.
