TapTools Shuts Down After 4 Years on Cardano; ADA Falls 6.5%

ADA-5.59%

According to BeInCrypto, Cardano's TapTools, a leading analytics platform that served over 1 million users and supported hundreds of projects, announced today it will wind down within two weeks. The closure follows departures of key leadership, including the CTO and COO earlier in 2026, leaving operational continuity in doubt.

Cardano's native token ADA traded near $0.215 after falling 6.5% in the past 24 hours. The broader ecosystem faces strain, with Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson predicting more project failures in the second half of 2026 and criticizing governance dysfunction. The token has lost 14% over the past month and more than 68% over the past year.
