U.S. Dollar Index Rises 0.65% to 100.068 on June 5

On June 5, the U.S. Dollar Index rose 0.65% to close at 100.068. The euro weakened to 1.1523 against the dollar from 1.1614 the prior trading day, while sterling declined to 1.3337 from 1.3425. Against the dollar, the Japanese yen strengthened to 160.17 from 160.02, and the Swiss franc climbed to 0.7962 from 0.7892.
