U.S. Jury Rejects Musk's Lawsuit Against OpenAI on May 18, Citing Late Filing

According to CCTV News, a U.S. jury ruled on May 18 that OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman are not liable to Elon Musk, finding that his lawsuit was filed too late. The jury dismissed Musk’s claim that OpenAI departed from its charitable mission after initially securing his funding for nonprofit AI research. Musk announced he will appeal the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
