U.S. Navy Admiral Samuel Paparo Says Bitcoin PoW Technology Enhances Cybersecurity, Supports National Security

According to Paparo, Bitcoin's proof-of-work technology can increase the cost of cyberattacks and be used to protect data, information, and command signals, thereby supporting U.S. national security interests.

"Beyond the economic level, it has very significant computer science applications in cybersecurity," Paparo said.
