According to MarketWatch, the Russell 1000 Value Index surged 14.8% year-to-date through June 12, significantly outpacing the Growth Index's 2.7% gain—marking the largest H1 outperformance since 2022. This shift reflects growing investor confidence that earnings growth will broaden beyond technology to finance, industrials, and utilities sectors. The Russell 2000 small-cap index also hit a record high on Friday, while major U.S. indices closed in the green: the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.7%, the S&P 500 gained 0.5%, and the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.3%.
