xAI Launches grok-build-0.1 Code Model for Agentic Coding, Now in Early Access

According to Odaily, xAI has launched grok-build-0.1, a code model trained specifically for agentic coding, currently in early access. The model supports multimodal text and image inputs, native tool calling, structured outputs, and reasoning capabilities with a 256k context window. API pricing is set at $1 per 1 million input tokens and $2 per 1 million output tokens; prompt caching reduces cached input costs to $0.2 per 1 million tokens.

xAI has also enabled third-party authorization for Grok personal subscriptions. Users with SuperGrok or X Premium subscriptions can leverage official compute quotas through OAuth integration in open-source agents like Hermes Agent and OpenClaw, directly calling the grok-build-0.1 model.
