Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant Cut Off for 19th Time Since War, Last External Power Line Fails

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency statement reported by Xinhua News Agency, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station lost external power on the evening of June 10, marking the 19th outage since the full-scale escalation of the Ukraine crisis. The plant's 330kV backup transmission line was severed around 21:00 local time following an attack on a substation across the Dnipro River. The facility's primary 750kV transmission line was already cut off more than two months ago. With all external power supplies now severed, the plant relies entirely on emergency diesel generators to maintain cooling systems for its six shut-down reactors and essential nuclear safety functions.
