Zcash Foundation Releases Zebra 4.5.0 Emergency Patch for Consensus-Level Vulnerability

ZEC-2.29%
According to ChainCatcher, the Zcash Foundation released Zebra 4.5.0, a critical security update addressing a consensus-level bug and multiple high-risk denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerabilities. The patch fixes P2SH script parsing errors that could trigger consensus forks, NU5 block validation cache issues, and transparent address balance overflow crashes. The foundation urges all node operators to upgrade immediately, as some vulnerabilities could allow malicious nodes to cause node hangs, restart loops, or permanent outages.
