70% of British Parents With Teenagers Turning to AI Chatbots for Day-to-Day Tasks on June 26

According to OpenAI research released on June 26, 70% of British parents with teenagers are now using AI chatbots like ChatGPT to manage day-to-day family routines. The tools help parents save an average of three hours per week by handling household administration and family-related tasks.

The most common uses include problem-solving (58%), researching activities and schools (53%), and planning and scheduling (35%). To help families maximize the technology's potential, OpenAI has partnered with family digital wellness organization Parent Zone to launch an AI Family Guide, designed to help parents understand AI safety features and discuss the technology with their children.
