According to on-chain analyst Emmett Gallic on June 9, an address holding approximately $300 million in KHYPE transferred most of its funds and revoked smart contract approvals via RevokeCash, coinciding with Anthropic's public launch of Claude Mythos 5 (security-focused) and Fable 5 (general-use) AI models. The timing has raised DeFi community concerns about accelerated smart contract vulnerabilities.
Blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis reported that AI advances now enable attackers to more easily analyze unverified smart contracts. The firm noted that recent hacks on TrueBit, Trusted Volumes, Aperture Finance, and Ecubo all targeted contracts with unreleased source code, and that work previously requiring days for skilled engineers can now be partially automated via AI.
