Benin's President Announces New Cabinet With 19 Ministers on May 24

According to Xinhua, Benin's President Romuald Wadagnon signed a presidential decree on the evening of May 24, announcing the composition of the new government comprising 19 ministers and 5 ministerial-level representatives.

Key appointments include Corinna Amory Brunet, former ambassador to France, as foreign minister; Aristide Mednou, former chief of the economic affairs bureau, as minister of economy and finance; and Olisekan Adjadi Bakari, the previous foreign affairs minister, as minister of tourism and foreign trade. The ministers of health, justice, sports, and family affairs were retained in their positions.
