BYD Confirms Entry into Humanoid Robots, Leveraging Auto AI and Manufacturing Capabilities

According to Driven Intelligence (Beating), BYD has confirmed it is developing humanoid robots, with Executive Vice President Li Ke stating recently in an interview that robot competition hinges on manufacturing, software, and hardware capabilities. Li Ke noted that automotive AI has common origins with robotics, and BYD could potentially sell robots through its existing dealer network if the technology matures for household use. An internal BYD source confirmed the company is actively researching humanoid robot development and may operate as an open platform or collaborate with other enterprises on such projects.
