Cambodia Launches UN Dispute Settlement Process Over Overlapping Maritime Zone, Thailand Says Position Unchanged on June 2

According to Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, on June 2, Cambodia announced the launch of mandatory mediation procedures under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea regarding overlapping maritime territories. Thavisin stated that Cambodia's move will not disadvantage Thailand and that Thailand will not alter its approach to the matter.
