Cardano Shifts Community Activity to Discord as Midnight Discord Grows 345% to 49K Users

According to Charles Hoskinson's live AMA in Wyoming, Cardano will transition its main community discussions from X to Discord to avoid platform noise and low-quality debate. Hoskinson cited the Midnight Discord as a working model, which expanded from approximately 11,000 to 49,000 users over the past six months—a 345% increase.

The migration does not mean Cardano activity will immediately cease on X, though formal community engagement is expected to become more Discord-centered. A working group will be formed to design the new moderated structure. Hoskinson also provided updates on Midnight's progress, noting the privacy-focused network remains on schedule with releases every three months, and Leo's testnet is expected on June 23.
