China and EU Hold Trade Talks on June 9, Aim to Establish Bilateral Consultation Mechanism

According to the Ministry of Commerce website, on June 9, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Chief Trade Negotiator Ling Ji held talks with Jørgen Jørgensen, Director General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Trade and Economic Security, at EU headquarters. The two sides comprehensively discussed preparations for the China-EU Trade and Investment Consultation Mechanism and agreed to pursue tangible outcomes from the mechanism's inaugural meeting, stabilize bilateral economic and trade relations, and promote sustainable development.
