China-linked Hackers Target 340+ US Tech Firms for AI, Account for 58% of State-Sponsored Attacks on June 9: CrowdStrike

According to CrowdStrike's June 9 report, China-linked adversaries accounted for 58% of state-sponsored intrusions against the technology sector, now the world's most targeted industry. Attackers sought AI capabilities and related intellectual property. Murky Panda conducted password-spraying campaigns affecting over 340 US-based entities.

Financially motivated attacks comprised 65% of all interactive operations against the sector, CrowdStrike said.
