China Urges Inclusive Political Transition in Syria at UN Security Council on May 15

According to Jin10, on May 15, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations Fu Cong urged the international community to advance an inclusive political transition in Syria during an open Security Council meeting. Fu Cong called on all Syrian parties to resolve disputes through dialogue and consultations based on mutual tolerance. He emphasized that Syria’s transitional government should continue political dialogue to create conditions for eventual national reconciliation.
