Hyundai and Nvidia in Late-Stage Talks for South Korea AI Center, $3B Investment

According to The Korea Herald, Hyundai Motor Group, Nvidia, and South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT are in late-stage talks to establish an AI technology center, industry and government sources said. The discussions follow an October 31, 2025 memorandum among the three parties to build an Nvidia AI Technology Center, Hyundai's Physical AI Application Center, and regional AI data centers as part of an approximately $3 billion physical AI investment. Saemangeum, which is developing a 3-gigawatt renewable energy cluster, is a possible site for the facility. However, a Hyundai Motor Group official said no final decision has been made on whether to establish the center or its timing and location.
