IAEA Report: Iran's Nuclear Weapons Development Risk Now Higher Than Before U.S., Israeli Strikes on June 3

According to the latest IAEA report revealed by Western officials, as of June 3, Iran's risk of secretly developing nuclear weapons is now higher than one year ago before U.S. and Israeli military strikes. The report warns that Iran's large stockpile of near-weapons-grade uranium poses new nuclear proliferation dangers. Before the 12-day war that began in June 2025, this material was inspected weekly by the IAEA to ensure it would not be used for weapons. However, the situation has since changed. According to two senior diplomats familiar with the report, the IAEA document emphasizes how the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran created new nuclear problems that did not previously exist. The longer nuclear materials remain outside IAEA monitoring oversight, the higher the risk they could be diverted for non-peaceful purposes.
