Meta Platforms' Subscription Revenue Could Hit $20B by 2030, Truist Says; Stock Rebounds Overnight

According to Truist analysts on Tuesday, Meta Platforms Inc.'s new paid subscription offerings launched last month could generate $20 billion in annual revenue by 2030. The social media company's shares gained 0.2% in overnight trading after introducing subscription plans for Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI, priced between $2.99 and $19.99 monthly. Truist estimates these services could attract more than 360 million paid subscribers, generating roughly 5% of Meta's total sales. The firm maintains a 'Buy' rating with a price target of $840, implying 44% upside from Tuesday's close.
