Russia's Budget Deficit Expands to 2.6% of GDP in January-May, Hits 6 Trillion Rubles

According to Russia's Finance Ministry, the country's budget deficit expanded to 2.6 percent of gross domestic product in the first five months of 2026, up from 2.5 percent in April. The deficit reached 6 trillion rubles, compared with 5.9 trillion rubles previously.
