According to TechCrunch, Sandstone, an AI legal software startup for in-house legal teams at small and midsized businesses, raised $30 million in Series A funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners on June 9. The round also included existing investors Sequoia, Mantis VC, SV Angel, Operator Partners, and others. Sandstone's platform routes legal requests from Slack, email, and Jira, functioning as an intake and workflow hub for corporate legal teams. The company was co-founded by former corporate legal consultant Nick Fleisher and former in-house lawyer Jarryd Strydom. The funding comes six months after a $10 million seed round led by Sequoia in January.
