SpaceX Begins Talks with U.S. Broadband Providers on Mobile Service Launch

According to Fortune, SpaceX began discussions with U.S. broadband operators on June 28 to establish a partnership in mobile communications services. The company is currently negotiating with Charter Communications to develop a mobile phone service offering for consumers. Under a potential deal, Charter Communications would provide traffic routing and offloading support for SpaceX's satellite network traffic, helping SpaceX transition toward becoming a direct-to-consumer mobile operator.
