According to Jin10, during his remarks at the close of the G7 summit in France on June 18, President Trump defended the U.S.-Iran agreement, stating he does not want to see an economic disaster from a prolonged Middle East conflict. Trump said at Evian-les-Bains: "The last thing I want to see is an economic catastrophe. This could absolutely happen if this conflict continues." He added he does not want to become another Herbert Hoover, referring to the U.S. president during the 1929 stock market crash that triggered the Great Depression.
